The model - details of this model were received in mid March 2025, after it had been spotted on a popular UK auction site. After the auction ended, I contacted the seller who kindly gave me permission to use his auction photographs. Presently I have no details of this model.

The bus - Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is testing and plans to implement a BYD J6 autonomous electric bus (also known as a "robobus") for passenger transport, aiming to integrate automated transport systems across the airport and alleviate driver shortages.

The airport’s bus, a BYD J6 model, seats 14 passengers, has 10 cameras placed outside the vehicle from Uisee Technology (Beijing) and uses Global Positioning System locators to track its position.

The BYD J6 utilizes Level 4 autonomous technology, meaning it can handle most driving tasks autonomously, with human monitoring initially. The airport has been testing the BYD J6 and other driverless vehicles extensively, racking up thousands of kilometers without an accident. The airport plans to expand the use of autonomous vehicles to other areas, including the Airport City Link, SKYCITY, and the Hong Kong Boundary Crossing Facilities.
