The model - almost nine years after the last release of a 1/24 scale KMB model, this example was released around 23rd April 2015.

The bus - Kowloon Motor Bus purchased 100 former London Transport Daimler Fleetlines in 1981. Unlike China Motor Bus, KMB specified a requirement for Leyland 0.680 engines. 2D87, formerly DMS 783 (Reg. THM 783) was new to London Transport in 1974 and entered service with KMB in August 1981. It was retired from service in May 1988.
