| The model -
the subject of this model is Daimler Fleetline D890, new to KMB
in December 1976, and withdrawn in 1988. The model bears little
more than a passing resemblance to the prototype, which is a two-door vehicle
with a much more angular shape. A point to note is that the front
number plate is UK style white-on-black, while the rear plate is modern
black-on-yellow! A vehicle of this vintage would have had white-on-red
plates. The model was packaged in a cardboard presentation
box, similar to those used by Corgi for certain KMB subjects.
