The model - this model is one of two Daimler 'C' types set for release in Hong Kong on 14th January 2017. The other (KMB-M-2016003) features one with sliding gates. 

The bus - Kowloon Motor Bus bought 70 Daimler CVG6 with Metal Section bodywork in 1962, these being the first 30 feet long and 8 feet wide buses. When new they featured sliding gates at the front and rear. During 1964/5 the sliding gates were replaced with electrically operated folding doors. They were later allocated fleet numbers D261-330. 

AD 4778 was first registered on 21st August 1962, was later allocated fleet no. D322 and was withdrawn in August 1986.
