The model this is one of two Guy Arabs announced on 27th November 2000 by a new model manufacturer, Buses Model Co. The other features HK4250 on route 1 to Y.V.F Pier (200800A1). Both were released on 17th December. The model features an opening bonnet and comes with separate driving mirrors for the purchaser to affix.

The bus - 80 such vehicles were introduced between 1957 and 1962. This batch differed from the previous 10 vehicles delivered in 1955/56, which had exposed radiators, in as much as they featured a "Birmingham" style radiator cowling. As half-cabs, they proved unsuitable for conversion to Driver Only Operation (DOO), and all were withdrawn from passenger duties by 1973. Some vehicles found themselves converted to service vehicles.
