The model - yet another unexpected release from Collector's Model in what is already a hectic a month for new models, this KMB Leyland Victory, G224, carries all over adverts for Nissin Foods, and in particular Nissin Demae Ramen instant noodles. It's a popular product in H.K. as well as in Asian/Chinese enclaves in the U.S.

The bus Kowloon Motor Bus took delivery of over 500 Leyland Victory Mk 2 buses between May 1979 and February 1983. They were numbered G5-544. G5-G155 featured an external sliding driver's cab door. Later batches featured an internal sliding driver's cab door.  G346-543 saw the removal of the radiator filler cap just below the windscreen and a deeper windscreen than the earlier batches. G224 was first registered on 17th September 1980.
