The model - this
is believed to be a specially commissioned model by Concorde Hobby
Shop. Details were first posted by the company on Facebook on 18th
December 2011 (see image below). This confirmed it
was a P&T Model and that the quantity was 45 pieces, although no
certificate is included. The model comes in a plain white box with
no lettering whatsoever.
On 9th January 2012 I reported the following:- "Featured on the Network Shuttle website
is this resin KMB 12-metre non air-con Duple Metsec bodied Dennis
Dragon. It features fleet no. 3N115 (DJ8496) on route 101 to Kennedy
Town. It is believed to be limited to about 45 pieces and comes
with no limited edition certificate. It appears to be a P&T
model but commissioned by Concorde Hobby Shop."
I am grateful to DKWC for his assistance in confirming details of this model and for supplying photographs.
* - no product code is known for this model and I have used the fleet number instead
The bus
- following
successful trials of KMBs first 3 twelve-metre Dennis Dragons, a
further 188 examples were delivered between November 1983 and November
1986. These production buses differed from the 3 prototypes in that
they were fitted with Duple Metsec bodywork which featured a three door
layout.
