October 2004, being the first diecast model from 80M Bus Model Shop.
The bus
- Fleet No. 2800 is another unique vehicle in the Citybus fleet. It entered
service in December 2001.
Citybus managing director, Lyndon Rees, unveiled
Hong Kong Island's newest 'smart bus depot' at Chai Wan on 28 July 2004,
to coincide with the bus operator's 25th anniversary in the Territory.
Scania/Volgren No. 2800 received a special 25th Anniversary livery.
I am told that the bus should be classified
as having Volgren CR224LD bodywork, as the 224 series is for buses with
Omnicity fronts, but it carried a CR223LD sticker before it was repainted
into Stagecoach style Citybus livery.
