The model - this
is one of two models that carry route P960 and route P968 route
branding. Both were announced on 8th November 2021 and they were
released in a KMB 'pop-up' store on 12th November. The second features
V6P1 on route P960 (KMB2021098). Both went on general release on 27th November.
The bus
- Kowloon Motor Bus launched these two 'long-haul first class services' on 18th July 2021. Route P960 operates between Siu Hong Station and Wan Chai and route P968 between Yuen Long West and Tin Hau.
The
company registered ten Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8Ls in early July
2021 to operate these services and these have been allocated fleet
numbers V6P1-V6P10. This batch of ten buses were originally
intended for Long Win Bus and had been stored for some considerable
time before being repainted and upgraded. The orange hand rails
are a clue to their former identity!
