| The model
- the first casting of KMB's two-axle Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL was
released by Cars Workshop in Hong Kong on 11th March 2012. The model features an opening rear engine cover.
The bus -
the
first two-axle Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL for Kowloon Motor
Bus was spotted at Heysham Docks by Alistair Liddle on 11th July 2010.
Having crossed the Irish Sea, from the Wrights factory at Ballymena,
it was about to embark on its next stage of its journey to Southampton
Docks, ready for its final leg to Hong Kong, where it arrived on 21st/22nd
August 2010. In
October 2010 it was spotted undergoing tests. It was registered
on 22nd December 2011 and allocated fleet number AVBWS1. It
briefly entered service in February 2011, but for technical reasons,
was taken out of service soon afterwards. It re-entered service
on 7th
April 2011 operating on route 606 (Choi Wan - Siu Sai Wan). Full
