- this model appeared in Corgi's 'The Original Omnibus Company' July -
December 1997 catalogue and was released in Hong Kong in December. It was
commissioned by the Hong Kong Transport Society. The model is accurate
as it represents a 11 metre prototype.
- VA40 was is one of twenty air-conditioned buses purchased by CMB in 1996
for the expansion of its Cross-harbour bus route network to the New Territories,
as well as for the service conversion to a partially air-conditioned route.
The VA class totalled 64 buses, the last (and last bus purchased by CMB)
being VA64, which entered service in August 1998.
