months after the fist two releases of this new casting, a further
pair of models was issued on 30th August 2013 (see also DW11303).
It appears that the destination on this model has a spelling mistake,
reading 'Tuen Mum Railway Station' instead of 'Tuen Mun Railway
Station'. The bus
- Kowloon Motor Bus introduced 348 12 metre air-conditioned Volvo
Olympians (3AV class) into its fleet from 1994 to 1998 to enhance the
quality of its bus services. The first batch of 50 Olympians had a 3+2
seating arrangement and a carrying capacity of 137 passengers. They
operated on Kowloon urban and eastern New Territories routes 12A 13X,
80, 80X, 89 and 277X. This batch served the public for more than 17
years and were retired from service in August 2012. |
