AM1
(BJ352) was the one and only Duple Dominant bodied Albion
Viking midibus purchased by China Motor Bus in 1974 and first
registered on 1st August 1975. It was put into service on route 5C,
along with Seddon Pennine SM1 (BH106), but was soon allocated as a
spare bus due to its low capacity. This bus was
subsequently used as a wedding bus by China Motor Bus on a
number of occasions before it was withdrawn. It eventually found its
way to a private yard near Kam Tim where it remained for around 20
years (I believe).

In early January 2023,
photographs of AM1 were posted on the Jumbo Bus
Hong Kong Facebook page, showing the vehicle about to be
towed away
from Kam Tin for further restoration. I am grateful to this
group for allowing me to share the following photographs.

| In December 2023 the bus was exhibited at the annual International MotorXpo Hong Kong (IMXpo) held at AsiaWorld-Expo between 14th and 17th December 2023 and its condition is somewhat different than the above photographs! |
