Citybus registered five Jonckheere Monaco bodied Volvo B12 coaches on 29th March 1996, allocating them the fleet numbers 2001-2005. They were originally destined for a Japanese operator, but the sale fell through and Volvo offered them to Citybus for a reduced price. They were used to operate cross-border services from Hong Kong to Shenzhen, Dongguan and Guangzhou

All were retired on 28th March 2001 and were sold to a New Zealand operater, Ritchies. As at 15th January 2025, 2001 and 2002 (now allocated fleet numbers 530 and 535) remained in service. 2004 and 2005 (now allocated fleet numbers 545 and 550) were due to be delivered to Silver Fern Coachlines, Auckland. My thanks to Ásbjra Rozas for providing this information.

My thanks to
Albion Valkyrie Kwok, Gakei and Stephen Cho for allowing me to use their photographs.

I believe the above photographs were taken in March 1996, just prior to the coaches entering service.
