Having trialled two prototypes, Kowloon
Motor Bus placed an order for 20 further vehicles and these arrived in
early September 2009 but did not enter service until January 2010. With
the Salvador Caetano plant in Waterlooville, UK, (where the first two buses
were built) having closed in 2007, it is believed these production models
have been built in either Portugal or Spain - the windscreen confirms they
were shipped from Barcelona.
Details of the two prototype vehicles, ASU1
and ASU2,
can be found by following the links.
