Vancouver Translink has purchased 275 Solaris Trollino trolley buses [183 units of Trollino 12 (40ft) and Trollino 18 (60ft)] to replace their existing New Flyer E40LFR and E60LFR.

These Trollino 12 models feature 3 doors instead of the usual 2, as well as the air-conditioned along with a rechargeable battery that allows the bus to travel up to 20 kilometres 'off wire'. The pilot unit, fleet number 27001, is currently undergoing testing along the streets in City of Vancouver before commencing in the operations.
