further two Kowloon Motor Bus non air-con Volvo Olympians are to be
released, one on route 1A and the other on route 93K and each
is

Marys' from
Oxford Diecast. PD501 (SP057)
carries the blue and cream livery whilst PD28 (SP059)
carries the red and cream livery. These models are being released in
Hong Kong only.

No, not more new releases, just a couple of examples of what Bus Superb Modi can do to a standard issue Best Choose China Motor Bus Dennis Condor. Fleet no. DL5 (top) is decorated in CRC Petroleum advertising whilst DL20 carries that for Wing Hang Bank.

The Network Shuttle website has details of a pair of 1:148 scale China Motor Bus 'Queen Marys' from Oxford Diecast. On the right is PD28 on route 101 to Kennedy Town. The blue and cream version is on route 11.
It is believed the final two resin Citybus MAN NL262/R from Model 1 were released in Hong Kong today. 1516 (top) is on route 12 to Macdonnell Road and is limited to 300 pieces, whilst 1537 (bottom) is on route 11 to Jardine's Lookout, and again this is limited to 300 pieces. 22nd June

Received today is this very nice Leyland FG in Gulf Gas colours (L12764W), complete with a gas bottle load! Produced by Best Choose this would make a colourful and realistic addition to any collection. My thanks to 3cubian.com for providing this sample model.

Thanks to regular contributor Philip Chan for supplying a number of photographs of new buses taken today in Hong Kong, more of which will be uploaded shortly. The first appears to confirm that Citybus has adopted this simplified livery for its 'Cityflyer' buses, as first applied last year to Enviro500s 8203 and 8204. Fleet nos. 8205 and 8206 also carry 'Cityflyer' livery.
8531 is presently Long Win's newest Enviro500, being registered RL2459 on 8th June. Higher resolution photographs of these images and others have now been added to the section of the site.
The new style Enviro500 mentioned in the News for 1st June was spotted on 15th June on a low-loader leaving Alexander-Dennis at Falkirk and is believed to be bound for Millbrook Vehicle Testing Centre. My thanks to Russ Bus Pics for allowing me the use of this photograph. 17th June

Although not an oriental model, I do particularly like this BEA coach. I am advised that production of this resin model is now underway and it is expected to be released in August. Produced by Resin Specialist, it features MLL 723, an AEC Regal IV coach in British European Airways colours. It is limited to 500 pieces.
Further new Citybus Enviro500s have been noted today, with 8207 appearing in Cityflyer livery and 8219, pictured above, bearing the highest fleet number to-date. 13th June

Kowloon Motor Bus Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL AVBWU248 entered service in early April 2012 and appeared in 'Brand Hong Kong' livery shortly afterwards. A larger image of this and AVBWU5 in the same livery have been added to the section of the site. Now just awaiting
the model(s) - please!!!
This rather striking livery, applied to Kowloon Motor Bus Enviro500 ATE96, advertises Mobile+, a contemporary art exhibition held at Yau Ma Tei.

Pictured above is the resin Citybus MAN NL262 from Model 1, which is due to be released soon. As previously reported, 1501 is decorated in Stagecoach style livery and is on route 85 to North Point Ferry Pier.

The Buses

Kong tomorrow (2nd June). On route 41A it is limited to 1,288 pieces. A
new page will be added shortly.
Reported on the roof of Citybus's Chai Wan depot are at least 10 new Alexander Dennis Enviro500s. Kowloon Motor Bus has registered what is believed to be the final Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL of the present order, namely AVBWU290 (RK6786).
This site recorded a record number of visitors during the month of May. The News page received in excess of 1,000 visits every day, with a total for the month of 39,300.
