Drumwell KMB Volvo Olympians released today in Hong Kong, two KMB
Dennis
Dragons from Bus Factory were also released. Details of
this casting were featured on this site way back
on 25th October 2011. 10312 features S3N16
(DM6738) on route 85K to Heng On whilst 10313 features S3N43
(DM9890) on route 41 to Kowloon City Ferry. Quantities are not yet
known and new pages will be added shortly.

Kowloon Motor Bus registered nine ATENU class Enviro500NG yesterday
(ATENU70-78) and ATENU70 was noted in service today carrying a special
banner advert.

(top) features 3AV50 (GC8347) on route
277X to Luen Wo Hui whilst DW11304
(bottom) features 3AV41
(GC6720) on route 263 to Tuen Mun Railway Station (although the image
received appears to read Tuen Mum).

regarding the registration of the first MTR Bus 11.3 metre

New standard liveried
12-metre Citybus Enviro500NGs
continue to enter service with 8335 the latest, having
been registered yesterday and seen in service earlier today on
route 102.
MTR Bus have registered
what is believed to be the first of their 11.3 metre new generation
Enviro500s.

The first single-door ADL
Enviro200 entered service for Kowloon Motor Bus today and was spotted
operating route 203. It has been allocated fleet number AAS1. Further
details and photographs will be added shortly.

Two new Kowloon Motor Bus
Volvo
Olympian models have been announced, these being 3AV41 in standard
livery on route 263 and 3AV50 in Friends of KMB livery on route 277X.
Both are expected to be released on 30th August.

In a brief
update tonight, photographs have been added to the section of the site, these including
the latest 11.3 metre Citybus Enviro500NG and a larger photograph of
KMB ATENU61 featured in yesterday's update.
80M Bus Model Shop have
released two new trams TT33669 and TT33670 and details of
these, and photographs, will be added shortly.

ATENU61 received minor damage to its front nearside following a
collision with a taxi at the junction of Des Voeux
Road and
Queen Victoria Street,

Two New World
First Bus models were released in Hong Kong on 15th August, both issued
by 80M Bus Model Shop.
The first is an Alexander
ALX500
bodied 10.6 metre Dennis Trident (20039)
which features fleet no. 1657
(JF8429) on route 19 to Happy Valley (Upper). This is limited to 1,388
pieces.
The second is former
China Motor
Bus Duple Metsec bodied 11 metre Dennis Condor (20040)
featuring DM18
(ES1970) on route 4 to Wah Fu Estate. This is limited to 1,488 pieces.
New buses continue to be
registered by both Kowloon Motor Bus and Citybus. ATENU63 is
the
latest Enviro500NG for KMB whilst AVBWU291 (SD9537) is the first of the
latest batch of Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs. The latest Citybus
Enviro500NGs are 8022 (12 metre Cityflyer), 8327 (12 metre
standard) and 9115 (11.3 metre standard).
During my recent holiday
I came
across some slightly smaller buses than those found in Hong
Kong -
not sure of their exact length but a few examples are shown
above.
Three new Star Ferries
are now
available, these being Northern Star (top), Solar Star
(middle)
and Silver Star (bottom). Each is limited to 2,000 pieces and retails
for HK$328.
