The two Kowloon Motor Bus 11 metre air-con Dennis Dragons are set for general release in Hong Kong tomorrow. Both feature AD359 (HC2437) - one on route 2E to Pak Tin (KLE16014) and the other on route 6F to Lai Kok (KLE16015). New pages have now been added.


Citybus has registered no less than 30 new 'facelift' Enviro500s over the past few days.

The latest batch of 'facelift' Enviro500s to enter service with Kowloon Motor Bus are fitted with full-sized displays both at the rear and nearside, having sufficient space to show destination and information as the front display. ATENU971 (UB1329) is one of this batch, having been registered on 18th April and noted in service today.

Citybus has retired all its MAN NL262 single-deckers, including those in Cityflyer livery, with 1569 (JL8007) being the last one is service, having retired on 18th April 2016.

The last Leyland bus running in Hong Kong, GZ1998, ex-Capital Citybus (G127GEV), delivered to Hong Kong in 1996 has almost reached the end of it service life, and it is rumoured that it will be replaced by a new MAN A95 open-top (TW2523) in the next few weeks.

The second release of the Model 1 MAN A95 casting is expected to be released shortly, with pre-orders now being taken. It features KU3998 which carries the special Kwoon Chung Bus Golden Jubilee decals (63203).

Sentosa (Singapore) has on sale a new model of their low-floor Volvo B7RLE. This appears to be a much more accurate model than the MAN NL263 released in 2005 and is believed to have replaced the subsequent Volvo B7R coach issued in 2011. My thanks to Jake Lee and Chen Jie Lun for providing this information. A new page will be added shortly.

New pages have just been added for the two diecast Kowloon Motor Bus Albion Viking EVK55CL models released in Hong Kong today. Both feature L308 (BM248) on route 64K, one with a destination of Tai Po Railway Station (KLE16009) and the other Un Long (KLE16010). Each is limited to 900 pieces.

   
New pages have also been added for the three Citybus 11.3 metre Enviro500NGs released yesterday, namely 63390, 63391 and 63392.

The three Citybus 11.3 metre Enviro500NGs have been released in Hong Kong today. Left to right - 9103 on route 85 to Siu Sai Wan (CM103/63390), 9110 on route 40 to Wah Fu (CM104/63391) and 9145 on route 973 to Stanley (CM105/63392). Each is limited to 890 pieces.

Two new Kowloon Motor Bus models were announced today at KMB's 83rd birthday celebrations held at its Kowloon Bay Depot. Both feature a special livery unveiled at the event, one being an Enviro500 and the other a Wrights bodied Volvo B9TL.

Tiny has just released the above 1:43 scale Toyota Coaster public light bus, the detail of which appears to be very good. No other details are known.

A further release of the a Kowloon Motor Bus Albion Victor VT17AL from APEC is expected shortly, this representing a vehicle from 1962, HK4503 is on route 5A.

New Era of Macao has recently carried out tests on two buses from Yutong, one being a 13.7 metre 3-axle single decker whilst the other is the above 18 metre articulated bus for BRT

Meanwhile, Transmac has received a batch of Higer single-deckers which are believed to be Euro V standard and which carry a new livery, as shown above.

New World First Bus 12.8 metre MAN A95 6090 finally entered service today and was noted operating on route 8P. My special thanks to Watt Yung for providing this news and photograph.

Whilst not 'oriental' news, Go Ahead London has painted one of its Mercedes Citaro's in a retro livery to mark the 50th anniversary of the introduction of the Red Arrow buses in 1966. The bus is expected to be in service in the next few days and it is hoped it will attend the London Bus Museum Spring Gathering on Sunday 17th April.

A recent release from Best Choose is this China Motor Bus Guy Arab Mk V - it again features fleet number LX300 (CX1486), this time on route 14 to Stanley Fort - it is limited to 300 pieces.

The above model was released by Vehicle Model Studio to celebrate the team entering its 3rd year. It is available to members and is limited to 300 pieces.

The model included 2 sets of red line, number and destination for the collectors to add, making the model a sample version of ATR1 which arrived in Hong Kong in 1997.
