These two Discovery Bay ADL Enviro200s were noted in the UK earlier this month
and are now believed to be on the way to Hong Kong.

31st October 2016

The two Buses Model Co. 12 metre MCW Metrobuses have now been released.

The first carries fleet no. M1 (CN 870) on route 112 to So Uk (BMCM1112) whilst the second carries fleet no. 3M1 (CN 870) on route 70M to Wo Che (BMC3M170). These are not licensed releases and therefore carry to KMB fleetnames. Each is limited to 499 pieces.

Set for release shortly are these two Kowloon Motor Bus Duple bodied Dennis Darts. The first is AA28 (GD5813) on route 51 to Kam Tin (KLE16023) whilst the second features AA24 (GD3952) on route 216M to Lam Tin (Kwong Tin Estate). Each is limited to 900 pieces.

The Model 1 New Lantao Bus MAN A95 is now available, ahead of its planned release date (63205).

Keith has also sent me a couple of photos of Go Ahead's latest livery on the New Routemaster, unveiled at the Stockwell Garage Open Day. It is inspired by the livery worn by the original LT1 way back in 1929 and complements the other New Routemasters the company have in heritage inspired liveries.

'Go Idea' is the name on the box of this Duple Dominant bodied Albion Viking EVK55CL, details of which appear below. The model features former Kowloon Motor Bus BH7637, which, after withdrawal in April 1990, was sold to the Road Safety Association for use as a mobile exhibition unit (JA526004).

My thanks again to Muhd Naz Farihin for allowing me to share his photograph of this 13.1 metre Enviro500,
on display at the Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE).

It is confirmed that the model of the facelift MAN A95 featured in yesterday's news has in fact been commissioned by ST Kinetics. It is limited to just 200 pieces and carries a product code of 63208. It is not known whether any will be generally available.

This 'facelift' MAN A95 demonstrator is believed to have been commissioned by ST Kinetics, the sole distributor of MAN Truck and Bus in Singapore. It is produced by Model 1 and three models appeared on the MAN stand at the Singapore International Transport Congress and Exhibition (SITCE) which is being held from 19th-21st October. My special thanks to Muhd Naz Farihin for allowing me to share his photographs.

Another Duple Dominant bodied Albion Viking EVK55CL is set for release in Hong Kong tomorrow, this time featuring what was Kowloon Motor Bus BH7637, which, after withdrawal in April 1990, was sold to the Road Safety Association for use as a mobile exhibition unit - it is modelled in this form and carries an attractive blue and yellow livery, having been re-registered EL1075.

Fulltech are to release two versions of KMB AEC Regent V A152 (AD7143), both carrying a road safety campaign livery. The first is on route 6 to Lai Chi Kok (38903) whilst the second is on route 4A to Tai Hang Tang (38904). Each is limited to 150 pieces.

Hong Kong has today seen some torrential rain and there are several videos 'on-line' recording
the severe flooding that followed.

As reported below, Kowloon Motor Bus has received the first of a batch (believed to be 80 or 100) of
Lion's City (Gemilang) bodied MAN A95, AMNF1 being the first.

Set for release in early November is this New Lantao Bus Gemilang bodied MAN A95 from Model 1 (63205). Featuring MD03 (TU8960) it is on route 38X and limited to 1,000 pieces.

My thanks to Mr 78 for advising that Best Choose have released a plain white version of a 12 metre Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Dragon (180121). It is on route 1A to Star Ferry and limited to 500 pieces.

In addition, Best Choose have also released a plain red China Motor Bus Dennis Condor. It features DL18 (EG2166) on route 111 to Central (Macau Ferry) - other details are awaited.

I am attempting to catch up on the plethora of new models recently released and announced and I have tonight added a host of new pages - rather than list them here, they are listed on the 2016 Releases page and include the eight Model 1 Duple Metsec bodied Tridents, two Asia Aero bodied MAN A91 along with a few others. Further photographs and details will be added as soon as time allows.

These two 9.5 metre Kowloon Motor Bus Leyland Olympians are set for release on Friday 14th October.

Top - BL27 (DB 7753) on route 77K with a destination of Yuen Long (West) (KLE15042).
Bottom - BL42 (DB 9881) on route 29M with a destination of Circular Shun Lee - San Po Kong (KLE15042A) - each is limited to 900 pieces.

Buses Model Co. are shortly to release two version of KMB's first 12-metre MCW Metrobus.

Model 1 has announced four Citybus liveried 12.8 metre 'facelift' Enviro500s :-

6355 (UD 1669) on route 962X (63336)
6303 (TW9791) on route 962B (63337)

These are in addition to the three New World First Bus 12 metre 'facelift' Enviro500s :-

57xx on route 970X to Aberdeen (63331)
57xx on route 720 to Grand Promenade (63332)
57xx on route 796C to Oscar by the Sea (63333)
These are all limited to 800 pieces.

According to the excellent Across website, Kowloon Motor Bus has today registered two
Gemilang bodied MAN A95, allocating them fleet nos. AMNF1 & 2
