FAVOURITE NEW CASTING 2004

This category was dominated by the Wrightbus-bodied Volvo Super Olympian from Drumwell, which received over 250 more points than it's closest contender. Only 28 people out of the 256 of you who voted chose not to include this model in your top three. Second place went to Creative Master Northcord's Alexander-bodied Leyland Olympian. This received over 150 more points than third place, which went to the joint Cars Workshop/Best Choose Metsec bodied Dennis Jubilant/Leyland Victory. The next three placings were all fairly close, with the Cars Workshop MAN/Volgren eventually finishing fourth with 123 points, the 80M Bus Model Scania/Volgren finishing in fifth place, two points ahead of the Cars Workshop/Best Choose ECW bodied Olympian. The final three placings went to the Cars Workshop Albion Victor with 47 points, Corgi's AEC Regent with 40 points and the Asianbus dual-door Guy Arab with 33 points.

Twenty-five of you matched the votes of the overall result, and these names were put into the hat, with Se Toa Chi Fau from Hong Hong being drawn as the winner. He will receive the prize of the new Cars Workshop KMB Enviro 500 kindly being provided by 80M Bus Model Shop.

FAVOURITE LIVERY 2004

This category was a much closer vote, although the New World First Bus 'Year of the Monkey' livery led from the very beginning of voting.

Second, third, fourth and fifth places all went to Citybus liveries, with the Stagecoach style livery as applied to MAN/Volgren 2500 eventually taking second place ahead of the 25th Anniversary liveried Scania Volgren 2800. The Cross Border livery on CMNL's Olympian just pipped the original livery applied to 2500, with the Brother liveried Dragon close behind in sixth place. The final two placings went to Year of the Monkey liveries as applied by KMB and Citybus respectively.

Six people's votes matched that of the overall result, and these names were put into the hat, with Cheng Kit Man from Hong Kong being drawn as the winner. He too will receive the prize of the new Cars Workshop KMB Enviro 500 kindly being provided by 80M Bus Model Shop.
