| The model -
Announced
in February 2000, this model was released in Hong Kong in late March. The
model was offered to subscribers of the EFE Newsletter in August 2000,
with expected despatch in September. This model differs from the DMS included,
along with Lodekka, in the special Citybus Set (19906).
A 1:24 scale version of this vehicle was issued by 80M Bus Model Shop in
April 2006, (12401).
The bus
- D20 was one of the second batch of five former London Transport to enter
service with Citybus. Unlike the first batch of five DMS's, it retained
it's centre exit doors. It entered service in July 1981 and was numbered
L20 (denoting a Leyland engine), becaming D20 in September 1981, after
receiving a standard Gardner engine. It was withdrown in 1991. |
