The model - it is believed Buses Model Co. planned to release this model as a prize for the winners of their competition back in 2005, however the St Johns Ambulance liveried KMB version was chosen instead. The model was featured in the News of 4th May 2006. In mid August 2009 thirty models were on sale at 80M Bus Model Shop.

My special thanks to Kennis Tam and Dennis for providing this information and the photographs

The bus - LM5 was one of a batch of ten - CMB's last non-air conditioned buses. These ten vehicles entered service during December 1993. The bus carried this plain red livery in 1997, as shown in Gakei's excellent site.

All ten vehicles were transferred to New World First Bus in September 1998, however, as part of that Company's policy of withdrawal of non air-con buses, the whole batch was withdrawn early in 2000.

In July 2000, the batch arrived back in the UK, having been completely refurbished, repainted and converted to single door, for operation by First PMT. They were subsequently transferred to First Manchester, operating mainly on route 17 from Manchester Arndale Centre to Rochdale.
