- announced on 14th November 2000, this new casting of a Volvo Super Olympian
with Alexander bodywork, was released by another new manufacturer, Creative
Master Northcord Ltd. The vehicle represents New World First Bus Fleet
No 5011 with special advertising. New World First Bus has allocated this
model a product code of 20005.
The bus -
New World First Bus has proudly taken on the mission to serve the Tseung
Kwan O community!
In addition to the large orders for Dennis
Tridents, NWFB also ordered a number of Volvo B10TL 'Super Olympian' chassis.
As a result of the prolonged development programme, the new chassis could
not be made available within the very exacting time scale required by the
operator. As a result, only 40 such chassis were purchased as part of the
requirement for 500 new buses in two years.
Since February 2000, the first two of the
seven Tseung Kwan O Kowloon routes - awarded in November 1999 - have been
in operation. The Alexander ALX500 bodied Volvo Super olympian buses were
decorated using a Shogun theme to mark this new chapter in its strive for
service excellence. This limited edition model of 'Allegiance' is in commemoration
of this significant milestone.
