The model - this model was first announced on this site on 17th May 2006 and was released in Hong Kong on 9th June. 

The bus -  The Volvo B9TL is one of the latest Volvo low-floor double-decker models. It has superseded the B10TL (Super Olympian) and is available only in 3-axle format. AVBE1 was the first to enter service with KMB in January 2005 and was used for evaluation. A subsequent order was placed and deliveries commenced in October 2006 - the AVBE class currently having a total of 51 buses.
