The model - this model was issued in Hong Kong in December 1997. I am unsure of it's release date in the UK. The model carries the standard 1990's air-conditioned livery adopted by KMB. The model displays an incorrect fleet no. for the registration carried. Fleet no. AA52 is reg. no. HA9560 whilst AA53 is reg. no. HA9706. The model is based on Corgi's standard Plaxton Pointer bodied Dart, with the addition of a roof mounted 'air-con' pod.

At first this model was commanding prices of up to £35, however, single-deck models do not appear to have the same appeal as the double-deckers, and a surplus of models was returned from Hong Kong to Corgi, and this particular model can now been found fairly easily for prices around £10.

The bus - KMB's AA class consists of 60 Dennis Darts, but 4 different types of bodywork are used. AA1-2 carry Carlyle bodies, AA3-42 are Duple Metsec, AA43-48 are Northern Counties, and the final batch, AA49-60 carry the Pointer model from Plaxton.

Both AA52 and AA53 entered service on 14th February 1997.
