The model - this is one of two releases issued on 9th December 2018, the other featuring LX33 on route 101 to Kwun Tong (97004).

The bus - this bus was new to China Motor Bus in July 1966, subsequently receiving fleet no. LW86. It was originally fitted with a Gardner 6LW engine, but in 1972 this was replaced with a Gardner 6LX engine and it was renumbered as LX40.
