I
have since researched this model and note that it was released in 2020
to mark the 100th anniversary of the Hong Kong Tramways Employees
Union, which took place in July of that year.
Further investigation confirms that The Federation of Trade Unions announced details of this model on 12th October 2020.
It
goes on to say "To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Hong Kong
Tramways Workers Union, the union has specially ordered a batch of
limited-edition 1:76 scale "Ding Ding" tram models. The models are
based on the design of tram #68, a classic tram from 1920, marking the
union's founding in 1920. These models are highly collectible! All
members are welcome to purchase!
Price per unit: HKD$260
Sales period: From now until December 31st
Note: Each member is limited to one purchase. A valid membership card
must be presented at the time of purchase. While supplies last"
