- news of this model was announced on 14th November 2008 and it was released
soon afterwards, on 26th. Whilst the model carries a Roadshow symbol in
the windscreen, the actual vehicle doesn't.
The bus -
following the introduction of the prototype Wrights bodied Volvo B9TL,
KMB ordered 63 further vehicles, which were delivered, completely built
up, between October 2005 and November 2006. AVBW39 entered service in July
2006. It is believed that owing to Wrights reluctance to provide the body
in ckd (completely knocked down) form, for assembly in Hong Kong, KMB have
placed no further orders, instead opting for the Alexander Dennis Enviro500
body, which is offered in ckd form. |
