The model - confirmation that KMB were to release two 'Year of the Tiger' models was announced on 11th January 2010, the other model being an Alexander Dennis Enviro500 (39409). 

The bus - AVBW44 was the third KMB vehicle to receive 'Year of the Tiger' livery, appearing on 5th January 2010. Following the introduction of the prototype Wrights bodied Volvo B9TL, KMB ordered 63 further vehicles, which were delivered, completely built up, between October 2005 and November 2006. AVBW44 entered service in August 2006.
