The model - this is one of two 'Year of the Pig' models announced by 80M Bus Model Shop in early January 2019, the other features Long Win Bus 12.8 metre Alexander Dennis 'facelift' Enviro500 2502 (KMB2018125). Both were released on 31st January 2019.

The bus - Kowloon Motor Bus took delivery of almost 800 such buses between March 2010 and July 2018 (correct to 19th January 2019) with AVBWU402 being first registered on 1st April 2015.
