- this is one of three 11-metre Volvo Olympians announced by Model
1 on 10th September 2020 and all were released just over a
week later on 18th September. The others feature VA39 (63520) and VA40 (63521).
The bus
- VA50
was one of a batch of twenty air-conditioned buses purchased
by CMB in
1996 for the expansion of its Cross-harbour bus route network to the
New Territories, as well as for the service conversion to a partially
air-conditioned route. The VA class totalled 64 buses., the last (and
last bus purchased by CMB) being VA64, which entered service in August
1998.
