The Cars
Workshop KMB Daimler Fleetline
with MetSec bodywork (38901)
was released in Hong Kong today.
Whilst not
oriental models, I couldn't resist
publishing these photos of the three London 'cute' DMSs first unveiled
on the Jotus stall at Showbus last year, and expected to be available
in
mid May.
As reported elsewhere, it is confirmed that Allsorts of Rickmansworth is to close during May or June. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris and his staff for all their efforts over the years, and for the hospitality shown on every occasion I have visited the shop. Their unique collection of buses will be missed. 29th

Just announced
in Hong Kong are these KMB
keyrings, produced by Cars Workshop to a scale of 1:250, and selling
for
HK$32.80. The first, which is now on sale, features a champagne
liveried
Dennis Trident with Alexander bodywork on Route No. 1a to Star Ferry.
The
second features a standard liveried Leyland Victory Mk2.
The May Edition
of "Buses" magazine includes
a photograph, taken at Cobham, of ex-NWFB Dennis Condor DM17,
now in preservation in the UK. The link will take to to the DM17
Homepage,
which has recently been updated. Also featured in this edition are
photographs
of a couple of two-axle buses operating in Hong Kong, a sight that is
soon
to disappear. A brief mention is also made of Diecast Buses Interactive.
Regular visitors
Keith Wood and David Rowe
have drawn my attention to the some new buses being operated by The Big
Bus Company in London. These are ex NWFB/CMB 12-metre Dennis Condors,
having
been converted into open toppers for London sightseeing work. Further
photographs
can be found on the Xtra
pages of this site.
And finally.....
KMB's Daimler Fleetline is a Car's Workshop model (38901) and features Fleet No. D737, a 33 feet long example with Metal Sections bodywork, expected to be released later this month. It is on Route No 1 to Star Ferry and is in the cream over red livery. 26th

Upon checking some of the numerous pages to this site, I find that the page for the book published last year entitled "DMS ColourScene Hong Kong" and written by Nigel Eadon-Clarke, failed to include any review or photographs. This oversight has now been corrected, so why not click on the above link to find out more about this excellent book. 15th
