Two new models were issued during my absence, the first being a second version of the Citybus short Trident/Duple Metsec fleet number 2700 in standard Citybus livery (39603). This is on route no. 260 to Stanley and is limited to 1,500 pieces and was issued on 26th. The second is the second resin model to be issued by Toys Model, this being a Kowloon Motor Bus Albion Viking EVK41XL, registration no. AR7701 (L221) on route no. 3B to Tsz Wan Shan.  A new page for this model will be added shortly.

The 'Coming Soon' section of the 80M Bus Model Shop website features some new models. The first are a selection of 1/150 scale KMB buses (which I believe are plastic). Four pre-production models were on display at the Exhibition of History of Hong Kong Buses and these included an 11m Dennis Dragon, a 10.6m Dennis Pointer 2, an Enviro 500 and an 11m Volvo Olympian. Secondly, and as reported on this site on 10th September, is a KMB Dennis Lance single deck coach with Alexander bodywork. My thanks to Dave Rogers for drawing my attention to this news.

I am grateful to Concorde Hobby Shop for providing further photographs and information on the two Mei Yi Guangzhou Yu Tong buses. GZBUS1001 has black rear view mirrors and a larger roof mounted air-con unit whilst GZBUS1001A has white/orange mirrors and a smaller air-con roof mounted unit. Both carry the same registration no. (A B7400), fleet no. (Y1-0678 ) and route no. ( 1 ). It is believed each is limited to 1,200 pieces and retail for HK$298. I understand these to be part of the Guangzhou First Bus Company.

New pages and additional photographs will be added as soon as possible.

I am grateful to Paolo Yuen for sending me a selection of photographs of his One-Mile JR Kanto liveried 1/80th scale coach, one of which is shown above. A diecast model, but I believe the front may be made of plastic.

I believe it to be Nissan Diesel Space Arrow/NSK Neo Royal High Deck Coach. A photograph of the prototype can be found on the Japan Bus Explorer website, (Site no longer available - 25th November 2015).

My thanks to Mike Sproat for advising me that he has recently bought two Hong Kong Model Co. 'Long Dragons' and that he has come across another variant of 8009A - this time AC4758 on route 8A to North Point! The second is 8008A - AC4788 on route 8 to Chai Wan ( San Ha St.). This model has not previously been recorded and therefore a new page has just been added.

Thanks also to Andrew Shirley who has come across another manufacturer of Japanese buses, albeit in 1/80 scale, which appear to be die-cast. The company is called One Mile and their web site can be viewed here: http://www.one-mile.net/
