I have received an unconfirmed report that the Kowloon Motor Bus Dennis Lance (92401) is set to be released next week. The model is believed to represent AN23 on route no. A2 with a destination of Airport. It carries Airbus route branding. The second release (92402) will carry standard air-conditioned livery.

Pictured above are some of the new 12.8 metre Alexander Dennis Enviro 500 with double staircases for RTC of Las Vegas. It is believed 40 such vehicles have been ordered and that they will replace the 12 metre Enviro 500s on 'The Deuce' route. Further photos have tonight been added to the Xtra section of the site.

Thanks to Dave Rogers for sending me photographs of this ex-KMB S3M 11 metre Metrobus which was at a trade exhibition he attended this week in Torquay. He was unable to establish the KMB fleetnumber. Note the raised roofline to give enhanced headroom upstairs. Further photographs will be added shortly.

Now available in Hong Kong are the two versions of the resin KMB Leyland Olympian 3BL1 from P & T Models (B0027). The first is on route 112 to So Uk and the second on route 6 to Lai Chi Kok. The total quantity for both models is 500. Further photographs will be added shortly.

On Wednesday, SMRT of Singapore, launched a new Euro 5 Mercedes Benz O500, a first in South East Asia. A total of 130+ units have been ordered by the company and the first is expected to enter service in the middle of this month. The bus is fitted with Gemilang bodywork (similar to the Scania K230s bought recently by SBS Transit) with a slight modification of the front and back. The front is similar to those found on the CapaCity.
