Owing to the expansion of
the MTR Island Line, today was
the last day of Citybus route M47 and to mark the occasion the
company allocated several special buses to the route, including 2700 (the 10.6m trident
demonstrator), 2800 (the sole Volgren bodied Scania K94UB),
7000 (the first Enviro400 in
the fleet), 7500 (the sole B9TL in
the fleet at this moment) and 9042 (the Volvo Olympian acquired from

As from
tomorrow (13th December),

Route H2 will be cancelled and route H1 extended to Kowloon side. The
price for a one-day pass increases from HK$50 to HK$200. It is believed
the buses will carry a slightly revised livery, removing the old price
and reference to route H2.

Former Citybus Leyland
Olympian no.330 was in as a prop in a movie, having had its roof
removed and upper deck seating replaced. In addition it received a
banner advert for SPD bank, thought to be one of the main sponsors of
the movie. The bus is now parked at Stonecutters Island awaiting

Whilst Australian buses
fall outside of the scope of this site, I have in the past
featured some more of their unusual vehicles in the section of the site, and one
such vehicle has recently been modelled by Australian company Transit
Graphics. OZBUS2004 is a Bustech CDi double decker operating for
HillsBus
whilst OZBUS20007 is operating for Forest Coachlines.
Further details of the actual buses can be found at this page
of the section of the site.
Further models are
planned. These models are 1/76 scale resin with diecast components.
