Citybus has today launched its new Urban Kowloon Route 20, which operates between Kai Tak and Tai Kok Tsui (Island Harbourview) - further photographs have been added to the  section of the

Kowloon Motor Bus has announced the imminent release of three new 1/76th scale buses, these being the 85th Anniversary liveried 'facelift' Enviro500 (600 pieces), a 10.6 metre Scania/Caetano (ASB class) (700 pieces) and a Seddon MK17 (1,000 pieces). Further details will be added later.
My thanks to Philip Chan for allowing me to use his photographs of ATENU1248 (VB 4398) carrying 85th anniversary decals and on the same route number as the model (destination of the model unknown). Larger images are linked to the above photographs.
Three of the six Citybus Wrights Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TLs from Model 1 have been released in Hong Kong today - 9540 (TZ3336) on route 40M to Government Offices (63607/CM136) 9552 (UB 6643) on route 96 to Causeway Bay (63608/CM137) 9509 (TS 8048) on route 671 to Ap Lei Chau (63610/CM139) 28th April 2018

Over the past few months I have been working on a spreadsheet of 1/76th scale diecast models that includes operators from Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore and ex-Hong Kong buses operating in the UK. Released in Hong Kong today is this KMB 12.8 metre ADL Enviro500 carrying all-over 'AXE' branding (CR178002). It features 3ATENU6 on route B1.
My thanks to Watt Yung for sending me a selection of photographs of two recent additions to the New Lantao Bus fleet, these being VK 2668 (originally registered VJ 8144) and VJ 7769.
Kowloon Motor Bus has so far this month registered forty new ADL 'facelift' Enviro500s, with ATENU1375 being registered on 12th - the latest is ATENU1395 being registered today. 24th April 2018

have recently
noticed several of my photographs appearing on auction sites, without
permission. As a matter of policy, I do not allow the use of any of my
photographs for use on such sites. Over the past few weeks, I have been taking new photographs of the different bus types and uploading these to the site - a few examples are shown below.
There is nothing more frustrating than seeing such photographs being used by others, bearing in mind that I have gone to the trouble and expense of buying the model in the first place, I have then removed the model from its case and plinth, placed it in a specially constructed 'photo studio', taken numerous photographs and then uploaded these to my pc where they are edited and finally published - rant over! 23rd April 2018

Model 1 has announced it will release a 1:43 scale model of a Kwoon Chung Scania K360iB4x2 coach (L33601) - pre-orders are currently being taken. The lower photograph shows a 1:76 scale MAN A91 with Asia Aero bodywork for comparison (63106). 19th April 2018

This photograph of fleet no. 5100 was taken on my first visit to Hong Kong - it was just 5 days old when noted at Wan Chai on 23rd November 2002.

forgetting, 5103 was the subject of a Creative Master
Northcord model back in 2005 (hkbus1006).

Announced today is news that six 12-metre Alexander ALX500 bodied Volvo Super Olympians in New World First Bus livery are to be issued in May. They will include fleet no 5002 on route 2X (20075), fleet no. 5012 on route 796X (20076), fleet no. 5040 on route 905 (20077), fleet no. 5052 on route 948 (20078), fleet no. 5084 on route 111 (20079) and fleet no. 5103 on route 682 (20080).
The first glimpse of a New Lantao Bus 'facelift' Enviro400, built to the same specification as the New World First Bus examples (i.e. low-height) - happily take a model of one of these!
Following yesterday's update in which I understood that the six Citybus Gemini 2s from Model 1 had been released, I can confirm that this is not the case, although their release is believed to be imminent. The Citybus product codes are confirmed as being CM135 - CM140. 13th April 2018

I am assuming that each model also has a Citybus product code and would

The latest ADL Enviro500s to be delivered to Kowloon Motor Bus feature a larger roof-mounted GPS pod than previously fitted. ATENU1283 (left) was registered at the end of November last year with ATENU1351 (right) being registered on 29th March this year. Larger photographs can be viewed by clicking on each image.
Whilst ATENU1349 was registered on 27th March, ATE253 will celebrate it's 12th year in service this coming Thursday, having been registered on 13th April 2006.
Another new feature found on the latest KMB ADL Enviro500s is the 'next stop' announcement system fitted just above the exit doors which also gives a warning when the doors are closing. 8th April 2018

KMB are currently holding an event at YoHo Mall, Yuen Long with a display including non air-con Volvo Olympian S3V26 and air-con Leyland Olympian AL1. A pop-up shop is also believed to be on site. The events runs until 8th April and is located in the Ground Floor Transport Interchange. With the arrival today of a photograph of one of KMB's newest red Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL approaching Star Ferry, I thought I would 'dig out' a few shots taken by me in the same vicinity, but featuring older liveries. Unfortunately, by the time of my first visit, there were no red/cream liveried buses. Once again my thanks to Bobby Liu.
Some news from Singapore, the Wrights Streetdeck bodied Volvo B8L demonstrator (SG4003D) was placed into service today by SBS Transit, operating on route 94. My thanks to Zack Knightsun for allowing me to share his photograph. 2nd April 2018
