Meanwhile, the Kowloon Motor Bus Depot at Tuen Mun is keeping busy with the arrival of new buses.  The top photograph shows 11.3 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500s,  believed to be part of an order of 101 , whilst the lower photograph shows the first 12.8 metre MCV bodied Volvo B8L, a total of 110 of this type is on order.

New pages have now been added for the three champagne liveried Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Tridents released by BMCU on Tuesday. They feature ATR205 (JN1445) on route 40X to Wu Kai Sha Railway Station (BMCU40X), which, thanks to Shun Li, is pictured above, ATR289 (JU2300) on route 116 (BMCU116) and ATR252 (JS6669) on route 259D to Lung Mun Oasis (BMCU259D),

If anyone can provide an image of ATR289, or confirm it's destination, I would be most grateful.

Believed to have been released last week are these two Kowloon Motor Bus liveried 11-metre Leyland Olympians from BMCU. S3BL470 (GB2444), nearest the camera, is on route 16 to Lam Tin (Kwong Tin Estate) (BMCU16) whilst S3BL422 (FP8167) is on route 66 to Tai Hang (BMCU66).. As these are unlicensed products, they carry no fleetnames or logos.

Also released yesterday are the three champagne liveried Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Tridents, again from BMCU. They feature ATR205 (JN1445) on route 40X (BMCU40X), ATR289 (JU2300) on route 116 (BMCU116) and ATR252 (JS6669) on route 259D (BMCU259D), which is pictured above. New pages will be added as soon as time allows.

Continuing the checking of the Model 1 catalogue, a further model has now been added to the site, this being a specially commissioned Kwoon Chung Bus Asia Aero bodied MAN A91 carrying decals for 'No Use Single Plastic Awareness Day', which occurred in Hong Kong on 30th May last year. The model was issued in July 2019 (63177). Unfortunately no photograph of the model is available - if anyone can provide further information, please either contact me by e-mail of via the site's Facebook page.

On the subject of this checking exercise, I am correcting any errors on this site as I find them, i.e. quantities, 'typos' in route numbers, destinations, etc. I know several collectors have either printed lists or spreadsheets that may be based on my information and, subject to enough demand, I may incorporate all these corrections into a list at the end of the exercise - but you will need to let me know either by e-mail or via the site's Facebook page.!

Released 20 years ago today was this Corgi Leyland Victory Mk 2 in Kowloon Motor Bus predominantly red livery. It features G7 (BZ9778) on route 68 to Un Long (44802). It was limited to just the 5,000 pieces!!!

Following my recent feature on the soon to be demolished China Motor Bus Depot at Chai Wan, I am grateful to Vincent Chong for sending me a selection of photographs taken in January this year, one of which shows the reception area and is shown above. Further photographs will be added shortly.

My thanks to Peter Harrison for advising me that Network Shuttle has recently updated its catalogue of Model 1 products and for providing me with an Excel spreadsheet comprising of this information. I am currently comparing this latest list with the information contained within this site. As a result, I have found a few errors on both the Network Shuttle list and on my lists. The errors vary from simple 'typos', which I am correcting as I find them to models that have been totally missed!

Two such omissions are the above two MAN/Gemilang models, released in August last year to mark the 30th anniversary of Gemilang. New pages have today been added for both and I am grateful to Sfd135gr42gta1473 for allowing me to share these excellent photographs. The first is a MAN A95 'facelift' Gemilang (63220) whilst the single-decker is a MAN A22 (NL323) (63241).

Further updates will be posted as the checking continues.

Citybus has begun transferring a further batch of ADL Enviro 500 MMC 12M buses to New World First Bus, these being fleet nos.
8525-8536, which have become fleet numbers 5840-5851 in their new fleet. The above photographs (which are 'clickable') show that Citybus 8533 (left) has become NWFB 5848. The first few buses being transferred happen to carry all-over advertising and therefore no repaint is needed!

My thanks to Peter Harrison for providing further information on the two Bachmann trams featured in yesterday's News update. It is believed they were issued in April 2012 and came with a choice of destinations, carry no fleet numbers and are without limited edition certificates.
18th April 2020

Two further Bachmann trams have been added to the Trams section of the site. CE00607 is in plain blue livery and CE00608 is in plain red. I am unsure of their release, or quantity. My thanks to Thorsten John from Germany for advising me of these.

One of the advantages of being 'The Boss' of this website is the fact I can post (within reason!)  anything I like!!!!

Well today I am doing just that - no relation whatsoever to Oriental Model Buses is this superb photograph, courtesy of Anthony Poulton, of Morebus ADL Enviro200 no. 232 (HF18 CGX) captured passing through the village of Corfe Castle. Route 40 operates 'the long way round' from Poole to Swanage, rather than over the Sandbanks-Studland Ferry. Usually operated by Purbeck Breezer liveried closed-top MCV Evoseti bodied Volvo B5TLs, as depicted below. The present ongoing situation has seen these Enviro200s, which under normal conditions are only found operating routes M1 and M2 (the main corridor between Poole and Bournemouth) operating a number of other routes. Double-deckers have been confined to the Depot! My thanks to Anthony Poulton for allowing me to share his photograph.

An interesting development today is the apparent removal of all MGG Workshop red Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8Ls from sale in Hong Kong.

Two further Kowloon Motor Bus Neoplan Centroliners from NP Models have been released in China, these featuring AP61 (JU 2489) on route 66M to Tai Hing (NP1006) and AP102 (JX 2224) on route 265B to Tin Heng Estate (NP1007). Each is limited to 120 pieces.

As a result of the use of the product code NP1006, I have amended (or will shortly!) the product codes for the two pearlescent green versions, also only released in China, from NP1006A and NP1006B to NP1003A and NP1003B.

Following Model 1's recent announcement that it planned to release two Stagecoach liveried Volvo Olympians later in the year, my records indicate only one such liveried vehicle has been issued to date, this being produced by Corgi back in January 1999. It featured fleet no. 8 (GK 3194) on route 801R to Shatin (43217). When Stagecoach ceased operations, this bus was acquired by Citybus and received fleet no. 507.
