Several new 11.3 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500s were noted at KMB's Lai Chi Kok Depot earlier today awaiting registration.

Tiny has unveiled the above image of a 1/110 scale MAN A98 in the lush green livery of SG Bus. It features SG5757E on route 67 to Choa Chu Kang via Geylang Road. From the description on the box I am assuming this to be an unlicensed product with no fleetnames or logos.

Tiny has announced yet another new 1/110 scale release, this being in the form of a Kowloon Motor Bus Duple Metsec bodied Dennis Dragon on route 6C, as shown in the poor quality image above (Box 35/KMB2020015).

Coincidentally, I recently posted (23rd May) on the site's Facebook page a couple of photographs of these colourful buses produced back in 2011 by Cars Workshop, and below is a closer-up example of that to be modelled.

Meanwhile, Citybus continue to register, rather haphazardly, their Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8Ls with 8803, 8804 and 8805 being registered on 15th/18th May. Fleet numbers 8806 and 8807 were registered in December 2019 and January 2020 respectively!

My thanks to both Bobby Liu and Philip Chan for providing the above photographs and information.

One of a batch of 11.3 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500s for Citybus has arrived in this retro style livery. My thanks to Ming's photo bucket for allowing me to share his photograph, which is 'clickable'.

I am reliably informed that is one of a batch of ten such buses that will carry this livery (fleet numbers 9149-9158). These buses are expected to displace ten of the older style Enviro500's to the non-franchised fleet which in turn will replace the lowheight NWFB Tridents which are not emission compliant.

The above photograph is believed to have been taken in 1958 and shows Shek O Bus Terminus in pristine condition. I am grateful Andrew Suddaby for allowing me to share this photograph and also to the website "Gwulo: Old Hong Hong", where  I came across the photograph, for their assistance. The site features over 30,000 pages about old Hong Kong and I would strongly recommend you take a look.

This photograph has now been added to the Shek O Bus Terminus page in the
 section of the site.

An appeal

Back in 2005, Eric kindly sent me a selection of photographs featuring Shek O Bus Terminus, one of which is pictured above, that I subsequently used on a special page featuring this terminus (see here). I would be very grateful if Eric could contact me, either by e-mail or via the site's Facebook page. Similarly, Winston Lau also submitted a photograph of Shek O and I would be grateful if he too could contact me.

MTR Bus Enviro500 fleet no.543 (VE2830) was destroyed by fire earlier today whilst travelling empty in Tun Muen. It is believed the fire started in the nearside rear tyre.

The task of updating photographs on the site continues slowly, and today's subject was the Leyland Olympians produced by Creative Master Northcord. Eleven model were issued in the HKBUS2001-11 range, the first being issued in December 2003 and the last in November 2009.
