Following yesterday's news update in which I mentioned that Citybus is changing its fleet numbering system, I can confirm that for the non-franchised open top buses, a 2-digit number will be used, whilst the franchised open top buses will be assigned a 3-digit fleet number. Pictured above are two shots of open-top 11.3 metre Enviro500NG SA6717, the first carrying fleet no 40900 and the second carrying its new fleet number of 27. My thanks to Bus Dream Land for allowing me to share their photographs.

According to the ACROSS website, two franchised open top 12 metre Enviro500NGs have so far been allocated new fleet numbers, namely 279 (SH5527), which was formerly fleet no. 59905 and originally 8356 and 281 (SH6325), formerly 59907 and originally 8358.

Yesterday I received the above Kowloon Motor Bus liveried MCW Metrorider model, having purchased it through a Chinese on-line selling site. The model features AMR1 (DY6090) and is on route 299 to Sai Kung, which was produced by AsianBus back in 2016. However, whilst I have this model listed as KB-01 and limited to just 144 pieces, the limited edition accompanying my model reads KB-02, which is limited to 1,008 pieces! Anyway, I am more than happy with the model and I will add further photographs tomorrow - NOW ADDED.

Today's arrival is in the form of Peak Horse tram no. 88, in plain green livery and heading to Happy Valley. I was only made aware of this tram in 2020, although the details on the insert of the plastic case date it as 1999. If you are able to provide any further details please e-mail me. New photographs will be added shortly to the model page

My wife and I are the proud parents of Chris, who, on 1st March 2026, as part of his training for this year's London Marathon, took part in the Brighton Half Marathon, finishing in a time of 1:30:46, beating the previous Guinness World Record
of 1:33:08. The full article can be found by following this link.

As mentioned, Chris is taking part in this year's London Marathon on Sunday 26th April, running to raise funds for the MS Trust - the target that he has set himself is £3,000. If you would like to support him in his efforts, no matter how small, his JustGiving page can be found here   -   thank you!

These buses began operating today along routes serving the West Kowloon Cultural District, offering the public a unique opportunity to connect with the museum’s blockbuster special exhibition, “Ancient Egypt Unveiled: Treasures from Egyptian Museums.”

The ten limited-edition buses, decorated with playful images of “Pharaoh Cat” and “KMB Boy,” will operate on the Open Top Bus Route HK1, the Pet Bus Tour, Route W4, and Route 296D for a month.
