This book was published in August 2021 and details were received on 20th August 2021. It is the first of three books on Hong Kong buses with almost all the photographs taken by the author during a visit to the former colony in October 1984. The book is A5 in size and has 70 pages (including the front and back cover). It includes 138 colour photographs and 10 black and white.

A second book featuring Kowloon Motor Bus was published in February 2022 whilst a third, featuring Argos, Citybus, Lantau, Macau, Trams and Others was published in October 2022.

The introduction page sets the scene and also gives a brief history of China Motor Bus. The photographs are grouped by bus types and include former Southdown Queen Marys, the unique rebuilt Ashok Leyland APD1, Leyland Victory Mk 2, Guy Arab Mk V, Albion Viking, Daimler  & Leyland Fleetlines, Volvo Ailsa MCW 2-axle Metrobus, Leyland Titan & Olympian, Dennis Dominator, Dennis Condor MCW 3-axle Metrobus and service vehicles., The majority of pages feature two photographs with a brief description of the bus. Seven pages at the back of the book give details of various China Motor Bus literature from the period.

Summary - an excellent book with good quality photographs, bearing in mind they were taken almost 37 years ago. Nicely arranged with a concise caption for each photograph. The highlight, in my opinion, is the photographs of rebuilt Ashok Leyland APD1, which are very rare. Already looking forward to the next two books!
