Due for release in Hong Kong next week is this resin Kowloon Motor Bus Dennis Dragon from Concorde Hobby Shop. It features 3N191 (DM 3103) on route 42 to Cheung Ching and is limited to just 130 pieces. It is expected to retail for HK$438.

The above books are due for publication next month. The first is entitled 'Evolution of Hong Kong Transport' and is published by 80M Bus Model Shop . It consists of 168 colour pages and text is in both English & Chinese. It is expected to retail for HK$198.

The second is entitled 'The Development of CHT, Lantau and Airport Bus Routes in 20th Century' and is published by BSI Hobbies. This appears to be in both hard and soft back and is expected to be published for the Hong Kong Book Fair which takes place between 21st - 27th July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

It is reported that a second Citybus Alexander Dennis Ltd (ADL) Enviro400 is now in Hong Kong. 

ADL has confirmed the following new vehicles orders from Hong Kong:-

57 x Enviro500 for Citybus/New World First Bus
35 x Enviro500 for Kowloon Motor Bus
30 x Enviro200 for Kowloon Motor Bus
Delivery will take place during late 2010 and first quarter of 2011.

On the subject of new buses, pictured above is one of KMB's new ADL Enviro500s, which was only registered on Thursday (17th June). ATEU11 (PG 9225) is seen here operating on route 2 to Star Ferry.

As reported earlier this month, it has now been confirmed in 'KMB Today' that two versions of Leyland Olympian (believed to be AL57) are shortly to be issued, one on route 40 and the other route 106. Each version appears to be limited to 900 pieces. My thanks to Philip Chan for providing the above photograph. 


 
I am pleased to report that Lex Wong's Fotopic site, featuring a good selection of photographs of the Citybus two-axle Volvo B9TL featured in yesterday's news appears to be back on-line (or maybe I spoke too soon - 1830hrs!)

Pictured at Heysham Docks yesterday is this Citybus two-axle Volvo B9TL with Wrights Eclipse Gemini 2 bodywork. My thanks to Lex Wong for allowing me to use his photograph, more of which can be found at his Fotopic site (which is currently unavailable as a result of bandwidth problems - 14th June 1930 hrs). Several of the new Volvo B7RLE/MCV have started to appear operating routes in the Tsuen Wan district. AVC17 (PG 3045) is pictured above. Citybus Olympian No. 186 has been specially decorated to mark the 2010 World Cup and is operating a free shuttle bus between Langham Place and Times Square. It is sponsored by Visa (an official partner of the 2010 FIFA World Cup).

The above two models have today been released in Hong Kong.

The first is the second release of the MTR 10.6 metre Dennis Trident with Alexander ALX500 bodywork (38703). Again featuring fleet no. 737 (JD 1982), this version is on route no. K73 to Yuen Long West. It is limited to 1,250 pieces and is expected to retail for HK$313. 

The second is Drumwell's green Kowloon Motor Bus  Co. Neoplan Centroliner (DW10109) featuring fleet no. AP131 (KC 2571) on route no. 60X to Tuen Mun Central. This is limited to 1,800 pieces and is expected to retail for HK$298.

A new page has tonight been added for the Creative Master Northcord new Volvo B7R/Sunwin model (cnbus 1017) announced yesterday.
 

Whilst on the subject of Creative Master Northcord models, I today received the above Keisei Bus Mercedes-Benz Citaro (JB0001) and the first batch of photographs have just been uploaded. More will follow shortly.

Set for release on 10th June is the Kowloon Motor Bus green Neoplan Centroliner from Drumwell (DW10109).

I have received two unconfirmed reports claiming that KMB's next AL-class models will feature AL57 (EY 4088) operating on routes 40 and 106. The retail price is expected to be $298 each. 

I have also received an unconfirmed report advising that a second version of the recently released MTR short Trident is to be issued,  this time as operated by KCRC. 

I note that Creative Master Northcord Ltd have issued a press release for a new Volvo B7R/Sunwin model (cnbus 1017), details of which will be added shortly.

Set for publication on 9th June is the Hong Kong Transport Yearbook 2009. It is B5 size (190mm x 265mm), hard cover with 196 colour pages. It includes 800 photographs and more than 25 interesting topics. It is published by JR Team and further details can be found at their website - just follow the link. Please note the book is in Chinese text only.
