The two Kowloon Motor Bus 9.7 metre MCW Metrobuses went on sale today. I am reliably informed that whilst these are produced by 80M Bus Model, they use the P&T Diecast casting which 80M has acquired from P&T.

M1 (CZ745) is on route 30 with a destination of Jordan Road Ferry and is in standard cream/red livery (KMB2021028). The second features M28 (DC9961) on route 113 with a destination of West Point and carries the additional wording between decks (KMB2021029). It is believed each is limited to 800 pieces and new pages for both with further photographs have now been added.

I am always on the lookout for photographs of actual buses that have been modelled and in this respect I am grateful to Gary Tang for allowing me to share his photograph of China Motor Bus Leyland Olympian LM4 (FW2045) which carries 'Save Our Seas' all-over advertising. The model was released by Buses Model Co Ltd in September 2003 (L40703).

I have today received a copy of Roger Bailey's latest book, which is pictured above and features photographs taken during his visit to the former colony in 1984. Following on from yesterday's news about the two new KMB MCW Metrobuses, I believe the second example features M28 (DC9961) and the between deck lettering reads 'MCW + KMB = A partnership for better public transport'. It is displayed in Chinese on the nearside and English on the offside.

Kowloon Motor Bus has announced at least three new models. Two feature what appears to be a new casting of a 9.7 metre MCW Metrobus whilst the third features a 12 metre Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8L in 'Heartbeat of the City' livery.

Focusing on the two Metrobuses first, M1 (CZ745) is on route 30 and is in standard cream/red livery whilst the second features an example from the batch that was new in 1984 and carries a DCxxxx registration (M21-M29) and is on route 113.

Can you help?

I am looking to update the site's headers, shown above, which were created by me using the simplest of tools several years ago. I am more happy with the OMB logo, shown on the right, which was professionally created following my DIY attempt using three cardboard letters which I subsequently painted!!

I am ideally looking to maintain the colouring for each word, matching it to that of the logo, but with a more dynamic/striking appearance.

If you are able to help or offer any advice, do please e-mail me.
