The two Kowloon Motor Bus 12.8 metre Gemilang bodied MAN A95s mentioned in yesterday's news have been released in Hong Kong today. M6EX1 (YC378) is on route 260X to Tuen Mun (Po Tin Estate) (KMB2021233) whilst the M6FX1 (YB9150) is on route 58X to Tuen Mun (Leung King Estate) (KMB2021234). Next month Kowloon Motor Bus celebrates its 90th anniversary and it appears that at least two buses have received retro liveries.  Enviro500 bodied Volvo B9TL AVBE59 (NA8693) has received a white air-con livery whilst ADL 'facelift Enviro400 E6M93 (XA7911) has received a cream/red non air-con livery. Possibly some models to follow?

I am in the process of reducing my collection of books, magazines and models and rather than sending these to my local charity shop (or tip!), I thought I would list these items in order to give anyone the opportunity to acquire them.

I have just created a new page, which details the items listed so far - more will follow when time allows - just follow this
link or click on the above image.

Long Win Bus 1549 (WA4616), a 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500, was transferred to the Kowloon Motor Bus fleet in early 2022, being painted red at that time. The bus was used on routes P960/P968, as seen in the above photograph (left). The bus was transferred back to Long Win Bus in early March this year and the logo was changed to LWB, as seen in the above photograph (right).

I am still none the wiser as to why most of the tables on the model pages became distorted over the weekend when viewing the site on certain mobile devices. As previously mentioned, the problem of re-sizing has affected several other website/apps that I use. To rectify this problem, firstly I need to identify each model page that is affected (as not all are) and once identified, a minor modification is needed to ensure the page displays as it should. Work is already underway to carry out these modifications, but as the problem appears to be affecting a minority of visitors, this will take a little time.

Today sees the retirement of ASV100, the very last 10.6 metre Volvo 'Super' Olympian in the Kowloon Motor Bus fleet. Two models of this type were issued, the first featured ASV11 and was issued in June 2003 and it came with a diorama (39001) whilst the second (39002) featured the prototype of this bus type in a plain white livery, the bus eventually becoming ASV50.

And, thanks to Alexander Lo, here are some shots taken a short while ago!!

The issue with distorted tables on many of the model pages does not appear to be as widespread as I first thought. I do not believe it is a problem with my site, as this morning, when making my daily visit to both the Wordle and Heardle websites, these appear minuscule compared to their normal appearance, so I am assuming it is an issue with my old android Google Pixel 3A mobile phone. If anyone is experiencing the same problem, please either e-mail me advising what device you are using or post a message on the site's Facebook page.

My thanks to regular contributor Keith Wood for sending me a photograph of Long Win Bus LW9 taken back in 1998.

I have today become aware of a problem that appears to be affecting a large number of the tables that appear on each model page when viewing the site on certain mobile devices. The normal layout of the table is shown on the left (screenshot from a tablet) with the distorted table on the right (screenshot from my android mobile phone).
The tables appear correctly on my laptop and I have had several visitors confirming that the tables appear correctly on their iphone. I would be grateful for any feedback in order that I may attempt to investigate and correct this problem. Here is a link to the page shown above - please take a look at let me know or post a message on my Facebook page - thank you.
