Released 20 years ago today, to mark the occasion of the 5th anniversary of New World First Bus, is this 'Give me five' graffiti decorated Neoplan Centroliner (20014) - you either love it or you hate it!
Out of the blue last evening I received a notification advising I had been temporarily suspended from a model bus and coach Facebook group for allegedly breaking their rules - no idea why and I can't remember when or what my last post was - anyway, I have made the suspension permanent 🤣🤣.
Further to yesterday's shot of Citybus 5813 in it's new livery, here is another angle. 28th August

The first bus to be repainted into the new Citybus livery subsequent to it winning the 'new livery' competition is ADL 'facelift' Enviro500 5813 (VY7958). Note the smaller fleet number at the front and the new positioning of the offside fleet number, below the driver's cab window and the nearside is above the front wheelarch. 27th August

Park Island registered a Gemilang Intercity bodied MAN RR8 on on 16th August 2023 and it made it's maiden trip six days later working on route NR330. The above photograph was taken today with the Tsing Ma Bridge as a backdrop. 26th August

Brought to my attention recently by Thomas Chin To Cheung is this previously un-recorded Neoplan Centroliner. It features AP72 (JU5808) on route 64M with a destination of Tin Yiu. Two further models that again I was not aware of are a similarly liveried are AP108 (JX6227) on route 59M to Tuen Mun Pier Head and pearlescent green liveried AP131 (KC2571) on route 104 to Kennedy Town. I am unable to confirm the manufacturer of these three models - if you can provide any further details, please e-mail me. 22nd August

Announced on the Citybus e-shop is retro liveried Volvo B8L 5230 (WN2615). It is on route 694 with a destination of Tseung Kwan O (63630/20110). No other details are presently known.

The above model has recently been brought to my attention. It features Kowloon Motor Bus Alexander Dennis Enviro500NG ATENU394 (TC9626) and carries all-over decals marking the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Community Party. This event took place in June/July 2021 and it is assumed the model was issued at that time. It is the second model to be commissioned by Asiaray, the previous one being a Christmas advertising model, offered as a prize in a competition in late 2021 (ASIARAY-1). Released today is this Kowloon Motor Bus ADL Enviro500NG with all-over advertising marking the 200th anniversary of Ma Pak Leung. ATENU308 (SU7248) is on route 88X with a destination of Fo Tan Chun Yeung Estate and is limited to 300 pieces (CR228005). 4th August

Monday (31st July) was the final service day for the last surviving Volvo Super Olympian. Kowloon Motor Bus Wrights Explorer. AVW92 (LZ8705) was first registered on 1st August 2005 and therefore completed its full 18-year lifespan. This means the Olympian era of Hong Kong bus services (1981-2023) has come to an end.
