The New World First Bus ADL Enviro500NG 5669 (TW8025) in 'wave' livery from Model 1 was released today. As mentioned previously it is on route 101 to Kwun Tong and is limited to 800 pieces (63322/(20111).

Kowloon Motor Bus Salvador Caetano bodied Scania K310UD ASU4 (PC2853) has been transferred to the Sun Bus fleet and was noted earlier today operating as a West Kowloon Cultural District Shuttle bus.

Tiny 1/110 scale models - update

Firstly, I would like to thank all of you who either contacted me by e-mail or commented on the site's Facebook page regarding my News item on 20th September.

The majority of visitors who responded felt that I should concentrate my efforts solely on 1/76th scale models. Having initially opted to follow this course of action, I then received some messages in favour of continuing with the updating of the Tiny 1/110 scale lists and suggesting ways of making the task of updating these lists easier. It was also highlighted that these lists are the only comprehensive record of Tiny's 1/110 scale model buses, of which there are more than 600!!

I have therefore decided to continue updating these lists, albeit it will be on an ad-hoc basis, and 1/76th scale model news will take priority. I would also welcome any information on new releases along with any information that is currently missing from my lists.

Registered by Kowloon Motor Bus on Tuesday (26th September) is this 12.8 metre 'facelift' MCV EvoSeti bodied Volvo B8L. Allocated the fleet number V6X183 (YW3407), it was noted in service yesterday operating on route 59X.

An event I missed whilst I was on holiday was the flooding that occurred in Hong Kong on 7th/8th September. The landslides caused as a result had a severe impact on the village of Shek O and, as many of you know, I do have an affection of this village and its historic bus terminus - I have therefore updated the Shek O page with further details and photographs. I would like to thank Empty Transport and Dennis Leung for allowing me to share their photographs - just follow this link.

Citybus has renumbered former New World First Bus Alexander Dennis 'facelift' Enviro400 3800 (UM6755), allocating it a five digit fleet number of 31500.

Kowloon Motor Bus has placed into service several of its new Gemilang bodied BYD B12D electric double-deckers. Eleven of its forty-two buses of this type have so far been registered and allocated BEDxx fleet numbers. A new page has just been added to the XTRA section of the site featuring several photographs from yesterday.

This Tiny 1/43 scale Kowloon Motor Bus Leyland Victory Mk 2 (KMB2023058) is believed to have been released this weekend. This model was first announced in January. It features G492 (CW9973) on route 72 to Tai Wo Estate. A new page will be added shortly.

The three New World First Bus models from Model 1 (see below) have now been released.

Tiny 1/110 scale models

Further to my message below regarding the continued updating of the Tiny 1/110 scale models, I would like to thank all of you who have contacted me either through the site's Facebook page, by e-mail or by Messenger. I am presently reviewing all the comments and suggestions and will announce my decision as soon as possible.

Tiny 1/110 scale models

With the increasing number of new models being released, I am finding it difficult not only to keep up with these releases, but also in finding time to update the various tables on my site. I am therefore considering ceasing to update these tables, but before doing so, I would be interested in receiving feedback as to whether this would be a major issue or not? Please e-mail me if you have any views.

As reported below, Citybus are to release three new New World First Bus models. The first, pictured above, features ADL Enviro500NG 5669 (TW8025) in 'wave' livery and is on route 101 to Kwun Tong. It is limited to 800 pieces (63322/(20111).

The other two models form a set containing two Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8Ls, namely 5231 (WN4213) and 5235 (WU4518). Both are in Lohas Express all-over livery that operates between Tseung Kwan O and Lohas Park areas. 5231 is on route 790 with a destination of Tsim Sha Tsui whilst 5235 is on route 795 with a destination of Cheung Sha Wan. This set is limited to 500 pieces (66001/20113).

I have been advised of a new model bus company which focuses on North American buses. Pictured above is their first model, a 1/87 scale Greater Dayton RTA NexGen trolleybus which is expected to be released next month. For further details, take a look at their website.

My thanks to Alan Wong for allowing me to share his photograph of a new Kowloon Motor Bus 12.8 metre MCV bodied Volvo B8L, currently awaiting registration.

Thanks again to Alan I am able to post the above photographs of a new Kowloon Motor Bus 'retro' liveried 12.8 metre ADL 'facelift' Enviro500, again awaiting registration. It is believed that there may be six buses that will carry this livery.

Former New World First Bus low-height ADL Enviro400 3805 has recently received Hong Kong Asia's World City all-over decals.

I am grateful to Dave Rogers for allowing me to share the above photographs of former Citybus Leyland Olympian 152 (ET778), which returned to the UK 19 years ago! It was first licenced in the UK on 1st September 2023 as H493 XNP.

Today Dave and his son Ben had some free time and took her for the first drive out on public roads fully licensed as a UK bus. A further selection of photographs (and a couple of videos) have been posted by Dave on his Facebook page.

I am sure that I speak for all the visitors to my site in thanking Dave and Ben for all their hard work over the years in preserving such a selection of former Hong Kong buses.

Following yesterday's posting, Paul Naylor has kindly sent me the above photographs of the actual bus with 'Hong Kong Chinese Festival' advertising. The event took place at Battersea Park, London on the weekend of 20th/21st September 1980, which is where these photographs were taken.

Citybus Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8L 8807 (WP1057) has received this PacMan style route 20A branding.

Three new New World First Bus models have been announced, one being a single model whilst the other two are in a set.

The single model features ADL Enviro500NG 5669 (TW8025) in 'wave' livery and is on route 101 to Kwun Tong. It is limited to 800 pieces (20111).

I am grateful to Brian Wong for allowing me to share his superb photographs of the only Kowloon Motor Bus Leyland Victory Mk 2 to be classified as a coach and fitted with air-conditioning, replicating the time it spent in London for the London Hong Kong Festival in 1981.

The model was produced by Drumwell and was released on 19th November 2009 (DW10903).
