Among a number of new models in various scales announced today by Kowloon Motor Bus are these four 1/76 examples.

Top left is 12.8 metre Wrights Gemini 3 bodied Volvo B8L V6X167 (YJ9948) on route 619 to Shun Lee. Next (top right) is Gemilang bodied Volvo B9TL 
AVG1 (VS9188) on route 11K. Bottom left is a second Gemilang bodied Volvo B9TL, this time featuring AVG3 (VT4112) on route 12A and finally Salvador Caetano bodied Scania K310UD ASU17 (PC3794), with a destination of 'Sun Bus', is shown bottom right.

   
Meanwhile, 80M Bus Model Shop has announced three versions of a 16 seat public light bus, as shown below.

The three Toyota Coasters are (from top to bottom) EU7656 with a destination of To Kwa Wan (91408), EF2198 on route 11M So Uk Estate - Cheung Sha Wan (91409) and  FD1765 on route 1 to Sai Kung (91410).

With the recent arrival of the Kowloon Motor Bus Year of the Snake model, today's task was to update the appropriate page in the XTRA section of the site, alternatively just click on the above image.


Kowloon Motor Bus retro liveried MCV bodied Volvo B8Ls V6B204 (ZX2717) and V6B205 (ZX3971) were noted in service today operating routes 58M and 58X respectively.

Kowloon Motor Bus has today registered the first of its retro liveried MCV bodied Volvo B8Ls, namely fleet numbers V6B204, V6B205, V6B206, V6B208 and V6B209.

Long Win Bus registered two new 12.8 metre ADL' facelift' Enviro500s, to coach specification, on Friday (21st) allocating them fleet numbers AE6X1 (ZX1469) and AE6X2 (ZX1887).

Recently converted to open-top is Citybus 49901 (SK6779), an 11.3 metre ADL Enviro500NG formerly numbered 4041 in the New World First Bus fleet. It carries a Panda livery.

Network Shuttle has today announced an exclusive members only model to mark the 15th anniversary of Model 1. It features New World First Bus 12.8 metre Gemilang bodied MAN A95 in 'as delivered' condition, with no fleetnames and with a destination of 123 Hanover Displays. The model is expected to be released in October. Full details can be found on the Network Shuttle Facebook page.

With confirmation of the product code, a new page has now been added for the above (KMB2025075). The model features D430 (AD7336), a Daimler E type with Metal Sections bodywork, displaying route 75A and with a destination of People's Republic of China. It comes with a diorama of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, along with the Golden Bauhinia statue. It marks the 75th anniversary of the People's Republic of China.

I am grateful to Neo Cheung for advising me of a further variant of the Brilliant Buses Citybus Jonckheere Monaco bodied Volvo B12. This version features fleet number 2004 (GT2814) and is on route 534 to Shenzhen Airport (BB006).
 
This is the eighth variant and I believe there are two more I've yet to discover!

In a social media post today, Alexander Dennis has confirmed that a further nine of the thirty-five Enviro500EV ordered by MTR Corporation have recently arrived in Hong Kong. They will be used on feeder bus services to Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway urban rail system for residents in the Northwest New Territories. The latest buses follow a pre-production vehicle which entered service in June 2024 as the Corporation’s first electric bus.
