This marks our first B8L delivery to the operator, supporting safe and reliable public transport across Hong Kong’s busy urban environment. The first single-decker in the Citybus fleet to receive the new livery is former New World First Bus Alexander Dennis Enviro200 fleet number 2505 (VD8011). It was noted earlier today on training duties. 28th June 2026

I am grateful to Emma West, who, having received a Model 1 New World First Bus liveried Alexander ALX500 bodied Volvo Super Olympian yesterday, noticed that I only had one photograph of the model on my site, and so she kindly sent me a full set of photographs (these have now been added). The model features fleet no 5040 (JE2524) on route 905 to Lai Chi Kok and was released back in December 2018 (63663/20077).
Some new additions to the Kowloon Motor Bus non-franchised fleet are Euro V ADL Enviro500s ATEE4 (RE1317) and ATEE11 (RE6087). 27th June 2026

An upcoming autonomous BYD J6 was displayed at the Tampines AI Exhibition held recently at Our Tampines Hub. Partnered with MKX Technologies & Mogox, this is the bus type that was awarded the tender for Singapore's Milestone L4 Driverless Bus Service that is expected to roll out on route 400 and 191 in the near future. My thanks to (buses[IN]gapore!) for allowing me to share the above photographs.

I can confirm the Kowloon Motor Bus 93rd anniversary decorated Volvo B9TL has been released, via the KMB Shop, today. I believe it is limited to 750 pieces (KMB2026007).
Meanwhile, now on sale from Network Shuttle are these three New World First Bus Leyland Olympians from Model 1, which were first announced back in January 2021 - 63077, 63078 and 63079.. 12th June 2026

Kowloon Motor Bus has announced several new models, in varying scales, one of which features this 1/76 scale Wright Eclipse Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL in 93rd Anniversary livery. It features AVBWU225 (RE1213) on route 93K with a destination of Mong Kok East Station and is set for release tomorrow (12th).

The first two both feature all over advertising for Royal Medic, a well-known Hong Kong health supplement and traditional Chinese medicine brand. They are decorated with 20th Anniversary decals. Details of the first can be found here, and the second, here.

Further
to yesterday's update, which I carried out rather hurriedly
owing
to time restrictions, here is a brief summary of the six models
announced by MTR.
New pages have now been added for all six models, however, only the first two ADL Enviro500EV models have full sets of photographs. I hope to upload full sets of photographs for the four Mitsubishi models tomorrow, along with updates to other affected pages. Members of the MTR e-store have the option of buying a set of two models (each set is as shown in the above table). Individual models will be available as usual. I am presently unaware of the manufacturer of the models or the quantities. 6th June 2026

Available to pre-order with Network Shuttle is this Discovery Bay Gemilang bodied MAN A95 from Model 1. It features DBAY216 (UX5874) on route DB03R (63229).
A bit of of a surprise is the announcement, by MTR, of no less than six 1/76 scale buses. 1:76 MTR/KCRC Mitsubishi single-decker bus．MTR electric double-decker busServing the public since 1987, MTR Bus is reaching a new milestone this year as the fleet prepares to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of its electric double-decker bus.
To mark the occasion, we are delighted to launch six new diecast bus models, including two models of the electric double-decker Alexander Dennis Enviro500EV and four models of the single-decker MTR/KCRC Mitsubishi MK117J.
These six buses represent important milestones in the history of MTR Bus. From diesel to electric and from single-decker to double-decker, the evolution of the fleet over the years reflects MTR's ongoing commitment to enhancing its services and providing the public with greener, more comfortable travel options. Three sets are being offered to Members, and these are as follows:- The first set contains two versions of fleet no. Z01 (ZF2271), the first 12 metre ADL Enviro500EV to join the fleet.

Next comes a set of two 9.2 metre Mitsubishi MK117J single-deck buses in KCR livery.

I addition to these three sets, the models are to be available as single items. New pages and further photographs will be added as soon as time allows.
Meanwhile, on the real bus front, I understand that the owner(s) of former China Motor Bus Guy Arab S15, which was converted to an open top tree lopper by China Motor Bus, before passing to New World First Bus, when it was renumbered SV13. is considering scrapping the vehicle owing to the cost needed to complete her restoration. I was fortunate to visit the site where she was parked up in December 2010, and plan to add some further photographs shortly. 5th June 2026

My thanks to BusLanes for allowing me to share their photographs of the new New Lantao Bus Volvo B8L in the vicinity of the Transport Department Vehicle Examination Complex (TDVEC). The Volvo Buses Asia Facebook page announced "Proud to see our B8L double deck making its debut with New Lantao Bus in Hong Kong - First unit on the road, and more to come. Thank you for believing in Volvo Buses!".
This month's 'header' photograph features the unique Citybus Volgren bodied MAN 2500 (HN1013) in this unique livery. Citybus ordered one 12-metre air-conditioned double-decker from MAN in 1997. On the 19th December of that year, the bus entered service as fleet number 2500 and with a registration of HN 1013. The model of the bus is 24.350 NL-DD, and is fitted with an Australian Volgren CR221LD body. It was the first time that that Volgren had designed and built a double-deck body. The frontal design is similar to the Alexander 'R' one, as requested by Citybus. The bus is powered by an 11,967cc, 350hp MAN D2866LOH engine with ZF 5HP600 transmission. The air-conditioning was supplied by Nippondenso. The bus was retired on 17th April 2015. 3rd June 2026
