The Mitsubishi Fuso from Creative Master-Northcord (JB1004) carries an Aero Star Demonstrator livery. My thanks to Hirotaka Kai of Japan for providing this information.
29th March 2002

The Citybus "Year of the Horse" Trident (OM44501) was released in Hong Kong on Tuesday 26th and the fourth version of the Creative Master-Northcord Mitsubishi Fuso (JB1004) was released in Hong Kong yesterday.

Another C'sM model is coming - this time a Dennis Dragon in Gateway livery (DA2201) - with a limited edition of 400 (presumably Gateway Computer Stores). It is confirmed that UK importer John Ayrey Diecast will be receiving supplies of this model, which should arrive in 8-10 weeks time.

I am grateful to Terry Stapley and Albion Lowlander for this information.

28th March 2002

Released in Hong Kong today is the C'sM China Paint Victory in the presentation box (V207B).

The Citybus Horse of the Year Trident (OM44501) is now due to be released in Hong Kong on Tuesday 26th March.

A new book, DMS Colourscene Hong Kong, is now available. It is published by DTS Publishing and written by N J Eadon-Clarke. I hope to be able to bring you further details shortly.

23rd March 2002

Just a reminder to all those visiting this site, that without the assistance of a great many people, the site would not be what it is. I am merely an enthusiast seeking out any news on new or existing models and I don't have the contacts that some of those operating commercially have. I would therefore like to offer my sincere thanks to the following:-

Sindy and Joe of Jotus Model Depot for all their help and for providing such excellent photographs;

Kwok Ping Wah of 80M Bus Model Shop for providing all the latest news and photographs;

Citybus, the only Hong Kong bus company that takes the trouble to provide me with regular information and were also prepared to offer the prize in the end of year competition;

Model Bus Evolution for not only providing information on their new releases but also for recently providing me with sample models of the "Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa" and "Japan Home Centre" Citybus Dragons, reviews for which can be viewed by following the appropriate link;

Buses Model Co. for providing information on their new releases and also for providing me with a sample of the last release, the CMB "Hotline" Olympian.

Special thanks also to the following regular contributors to the site:-
Cosmopolis Bus Fan Club, Don Craggs, Vic Davey, Winston Lau, Dennis Law, Sam Law, Tin Yau Lee, Alex Lok, Albion Lowlander, Donald MacRae, Charles Sargeant, Terry Stapley, Thomas Tang, Keith Wood, Edward Yeo

The C'sM China Paint Victory is due to be released in Hong Kong on Saturday 23rd March, and unlike those released here in the UK, this version appears to come in a special China Paint presentation box. Quantities are thought to be 500.

My recent review of the Hong Kong Buses Yearbook 2002 has now been updated to include translated titles for each article, thanks to the help of Tin Yau Lee.

Pages to the site are constantly being updated with new photographs and information, some of which are not always listed in the "Updates". Recent examples are the ABC Models Daimler Fleetline pages (000102A) and (000112A), the two CMB water bowsers from Best Choose (02021) and Ox Transport models (X1002), and LM9, the Buses Model Olympian .

 19th March 2002

Released yesterday in Hong Kong, earlier than anticipated, was Corgi's KMB "Year of the Horse" Olympian (OM43201). Also released yesterday was the main bulk of Ox Transport Model's CMB Water Bowser (X1002).

Expected to be released in Hong Kong on Monday 18th is Corgi's KMB "Year of the Horse" Olympian (OM43201).

Thanks to those of you who responded to the recent uncertainty regarding the forthcoming resin CMB Volvo recovery truck. I can confirm that this Volvo should be described as an N10 (N denoting Normal control) and not an F10 (F denoting Forward control).

Citybus's "Year of the Horse" Trident/Duple Metsec (OM44501) is due for release in Hong Kong on 20th March.

15th March 2002

Following the news item below, of the imminent release of the resin CMB Volvo recovery truck, I have been informed by one "eagle-eyed" visitor that he believes that as the Volvo has a bonnet, it should be an "N10", as opposed to an "F10" which is a "cab-over" design.    Can anyone confirm?
13th March 2002

The Citybus Year of the Horse Trident is due for release later this month. It is numbered OM44501 and is limited to 2,000 pieces, half of which are expected to find their way to the UK.

The above is a resin model of a CMB F10 Heavy Recovery Truck, soon to be released in Hong Kong. Another recent resin model release is pictured below.

As part of several improvements to the site, I will be adding two new sections, one devoted to Resin Models, the other to Toys. Both of these sections of the site are in the process of being built!

9th March 2002

Thanks to Albion Lowlander for the above photo of the C'sM China Paint Victory (V207B - assumed model number). Having spoken with Allsorts today, they tell me that all of the models imported have now been sold - but if enough interest is shown in the model, then they will attempt to secure another batch.

8th March 2002

News of a new bus model from SBS Transit featuring  an advertisement on this year's STAR award winners. The STAR Award has been presented annually to DelGro's (SBS Transit's parent company)  frontline staff in recognition of their excellent customer service. Commuters who ride with any of SBS Transit STARS in the month of March 2002, stand a chance to win 50 special edition bus models.

The new model is similar the recent release of the CMN SBS-01/02 (Volvo Olympian/Alexander).

The above information has kindly been provided by Edward from Singapore

"A couple of weeks ago, on the C'sM collectors Yahoo group, mention was made of a China Paint liveried Victory, purchased from "Allsorts". The bus is registration number CV5952, fleetnumber G439, & it is on route 70 to Sheung Shui. I can only describe the livery as very similar to the ABC Models China Paint liveried Metrobus. There is no certificate with it, nor is there any reference number to be seen on the packaging which is "old style" C'sM acrylic box".

I am grateful to Albion Lowlander for the above report - if anyone can provide a photograph or any other details, I would be most grateful.

Another "toy", just received from Digby's, is this Duple/Metsec Trident. It is one, I believe, of a set of three.
