Whilst yesterday's news was dominated by the announcement of the impending release of two New Lantao Bus MAN A95 models, today's news focuses on the company's other double-deck bus type, namely the lowheight ADL Enviro400. AD11 (VU4736) was the first double-deck bus to visit Ngong Ping, home of the Tian Tan Buddha (commonly referred to as the Big Buddha) as it underwent a trial run, fully laden, to assess the suitability of operating double-deck buses on the route between Tung Chung and Ngong Ping. A new page has been added to the Click here to visit the Xtra pages section of the site.

The KMB 'Pop Up Store' will be at the Mikiki Mall in San Po Kong between 1st and 9th June where it appears four new KMB models will be available - two Alexander bodied Mercedes-Benz 0305 (ME class) and two versions of Wrights Gemini 2 bodied Volvo B9TL AVBWU734, which features white destination equipment. Further details will be added when known.

With the sheer number of Tiny 1/110 scale releases, I am wondering if all the time and effort spent adding these is worthwhile? Please e-mail me your views.

When I posted the above photograph last month (see News 28th April), little did I know that the 'missing' model, a lowheight Duple Metsec bodied short Dennis Trident, may be in the pipeline - well today Network Shuttle posted on Facebook photographs of New World First Bus 3301, when new, and carrying a special livery promoting the fact that it was only 4.17 metres high and with the slogan 'A new model tailor made for the Hong Kong roads!'. Two other buses are featured, namely 3312 and 3345, both in standard livery.
